Public spending transparency
As part of Ballwin's commitment to fiscal transparency, the city publishes a monthly listing of all disbursements. Residents can review exactly how city funds are spent, vendor by vendor, month by month.
Current records (2023–present)
Check registers from January 1, 2023 to the present are available through the Missouri Accountability Portal at mapyourtaxes.mo.gov. The state portal provides a searchable database of all city expenditures.
Historical records (2015–2022)
Monthly check register documents for 2015 through 2022 are available as downloadable PDFs directly on the city's Finance page. Each document details all payments issued during its corresponding month.
Records prior to 2015
Check register documents from before 2015 are available upon request through a formal Sunshine Request. Submit the Sunshine Request form available on the Transparency page.
