Transparency and public records
Our commitment
The City of Ballwin makes every effort to be as transparent as possible and continuously updates this website with current information. City budgets, check registers, audit reports, and board meeting records are all available online.
Sunshine Law requests
Missouri's Sunshine Law guarantees the public's right to access government records. Residents unable to find information on the website may submit a formal Sunshine Request using the downloadable form. The City's Sunshine Law Policy outlines the request process, response timelines, and any applicable fees.
ADA compliance
The City of Ballwin does not discriminate on the basis of disability in employment, programs, services, or activities. ADA Coordinator Terri Johnson, CTRS, CPRP oversees accessibility compliance. Individuals requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the ADA Coordinator at (314) 835-6157 no later than 72 hours before a scheduled event. Inclusion support accommodations may require two or more weeks of advance notice.
ADA grievance procedure
The City provides a formal grievance procedure for accessibility complaints. Service animals are welcomed in all city facilities. The City will not impose surcharges for providing accessibility accommodations.
Public financial data
The Finance Department publishes annual budgets (2008–present), independent audit reports, and monthly check registers (2015–present). Check registers from 2023 forward are also available on the Missouri Accountability Portal at mapyourtaxes.mo.gov.
