Court programs and fine schedule
Court-ordered programs
The court may order completion of specific programs as part of sentencing. Available programs include: Defensive Driving School/Driver Improvement Program, Substance Abuse Traffic Offender's Program (SATOP), Adolescent Drug Education Program (ADEP), Drug Education Program (DEP, over 21), Assaultive Behavior Program, Theft Offenders Program, Supervised Probation, Anger Management, and Community Service.
Approved providers
You may select from these certified providers: Community Services of Missouri at (636) 441-9002, Safety Council of Greater St. Louis at (314) 621-9200, Interstate Court Services at (314) 434-9441, or St. Louis County DJS Probation-Classes at (314) 615-4770.
Completion requirements
It is your responsibility to ensure the court receives your completion certificate(s), either from you directly or from the program provider. Certificates must reach the court before the deadline set by the judge. Failure to document completion of driving school results in notification to the Department of Revenue and points added to your driving record.
Violations Bureau fine schedule
A Signed Violations Bureau Uniform Fine Schedule outlines violations that may be paid without a court appearance, provided the fine amount is listed on the schedule. Allow seven business days before paying your ticket to ensure it has been entered into the system.
Violations requiring court appearance
Mandatory court appearances are required for: Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Suspended or Revoked, speeding 25+ mph over the limit, Careless and Reckless Driving, traffic offenses involving accidents, and drug/alcohol possession, assault, trespassing, or housing code violations.
